Register now to go in the running for new footy boots

Our registration is currently open.
If you register before Monday 21 March 2022 you will go into the draw to win a new pair of football boots of your choosing from Rebel Sports.
For those already registered you have automatically been entered.
 
We are starting to look at our team numbers and this will give us a good opportunity to start firming up teams.

Cancellation of Welcome to Season event

The club has made the decision to CANCEL tomorrow’s welcome to season event at the Canberra Aqua Park. The forecast of unstable and severe weather was going to make for a potentially wet and dangerous situation that we felt we could not proceed.
We want to thank our volunteers who had been working behind the scenes to make this such a great event – particularly Dave for finding us a great location.
The club continues to focus on our season ahead including helping our community with registration questions, merchandise orders and more. Please reach out — 57 days until first bounce!

Under 14 Boys Coaches

What do you get when you take our club president and our newest member of the committee? You get our dynamic duo U14s coaches Dave and Tim.
Dave and Tim have both coached this group of children at some time throughout the past couple of years but are coming together to be the ying to the yang, the peanut butter to the jelly or perhaps our version of Sheedy and Molthouse.
Our under 14s are starting some pre-season so reach out if you are wanting some more information.
Our registrations are open and countdown is on to April 30.

Under 14 Girls Coach

Have you met Kate?
After many years of coaching (and having coffee with Kate) this is the best photo I could find of our 2022 U14s Girls coach. My mission this year is to take so my photos of this past player and amazing coach that I have heaps to choose from next year.
Kate has a passion for developing our young women and teaching them gameplay, sportsmanship and fun! Our U14s were hugely popular last year and we can attribute that to our amazing coaches and love of the game.
Training will commence early April.

U16 Boys Coaches – New Belconnen Team

What do you get when you cross a Cat and a Magpie? You get our new AFL Canberra Belconnen U16s team loving some pre-season ‘just a little rain’ training.
New coach Matt and returning from retirement ‘Raadsty’, put the boys through some great drills tonight and it was just one big laugh like this was always meant to be.

Steve the Auskick Coach

Have you met Steve?
Steve is our Auskick coach for 2022 and offers years of coaching and experience at Magpies Juniors.
Auskick kicks off this Sunday at @ginninderry community playing fields from 10am to 11am. The program is aimed at 5 to 8 year olds.
