Three cheers for the volunteers

You have seen the posts about coaches, managers, sponsors, kids, merch and more but you know what you haven’t seen…. a post about our awesome, 100% volunteer committee!!
This is them in action this morning (minus camera shy Tracy) sorting, cleaning and having the final push before season starts.
These are the true angels of our club. Three cheers for them!!!

U10 Girls still needed

Hands up if you are an under 10 girl (2012, 2013 and 2014) and still wanting to play footy this season?

Erin and the girls are training today from 5:00 to 6:00pm at the small Holt oval and would love a couple more players.

No experience necessary and it is about girls having fun and learning some great skills. The girls play Sunday mornings at 10am and typically train Wednesday afternoons at Kippax.

Registrations closing for certain age groups

After looking at our registrations for the 2022 season we are no longer accepting new players for the following age groups.
. U12 mixed
. U13 mixed
. U14 girls
. U16 girls

If you haven’t registered but have attended training and coaches are aware that you are playing for us in 2022 then never fear your registration will be accepted (as we have you counted in our numbers).

We are still looking and accepting players in other age groups. In particular our u10 girls and u10 mixed.

Uniform shop open this week (11 and 14 April)

Have you dug the Magpies shorts and socks out and realised they are looking a little worse for wear or small? Our wonderful uniform and merch coordinator Mark will be at the sheds this Monday (11/4) and Thursday (14/4) between 4:30 and 5:30 for those needing new footy shorts and socks.

Shorts are $30 and socks $13.

New score boards

Check out the new scoreboards for home games at Kippax! With both a big and small board we will be looking all professional come game day. Now to work on our math.

Training is starting

Quite a few kit bags went out today which means things are getting real.
Now that the ovals are open we know some teams are starting training this week including:
– u9 mixed (Kippax 5 to 6 Tuesday).
– u10 mixed (Kippax 5 to 6 Tuesday).
– u10 girls (Kippax 5 to 6 Wednesday).
– u11 mixed (Kippax 5 to 6 Monday).
– u12 girls (Aranda 4.15 to 5.30 Thursday).
– u14 girls (Kippax 6 to 7 Tuesday & Friday 5.30 to 6.30).
Other teams have already been training and some teams wont start until after the break – reach out if you haven’t received details.

Auskick Ginninderry Update

Such a pleasure to pop out to our Magpies Juniors Ginninderry Auskick today. This is our next generation of Magpies and they are learning all the essential skills.
So proud of these kids and their dedication. Huge thanks to Steve – where would we be without you!!

U9 and U10 Training

If we cant get you across the line with the footy… perhaps it is the after game rituals that will entice you?

We still need U9 and U10 players… this is boys and girls born 2012 and 2013.

Training starts this Tuesday at Kippax ovals from 5pm to 6pm. Depending on team we are likely to play either early Saturday morning or after lunch Saturday.

Tell your mates… Tell your friends… Belconnen Magpies is ready for swooping season.
