History of the Magpies The West Canberra Junior Football Club moved to Kippax from Acton in the 1970’s and became known as the Magpies Junior Football Club, a junior feeder club to the senior Belconnen Magpies Football Club. The Magpies Junior Football Club has a proud tradition of being a family orientated club. The club, and its volunteers, put the extra effort in to get as many kids as possible involved in Australian Rules football, and to ensure they have a fun and safe time. We have dedicated AFL qualified and accredited coaches, managers, first aid officers and administrators who put in tremendous effort week in and week out to give the kids a positive experience.
