First Aid and Emergency Response Co-ordinator Training

The AFL season is fast drawing upon us and the Belconnen Cats and Magpies Junior AFL Clubs are working together to provide access to a one-day training course for parents, carers and players.

Two very experienced presenters who are working in the field of Sports Medicine and Exercise Science will provide training and information in First Aid, CPR, Concussion Management and Emergency Response Co-ordination.  The course will be facilitated by Sports Medicine Australia, a Nationally Recognised Training body, hence attendees will receive formally recognised First Aid and CPR qualifications.

There has been a significant reduction in the course price for our clubs. The clubs are also hoping to be able to provide some subsidy to attendees in return for services to the clubs.

We are working to have 2 nominated people who hold first aid training for each team this year.  These are life skills which we all should possess as one never knows when they will be in the situation where intervention is required.  This is a simple way to upskill and support your club.
